About Inspira
Head Guide
My name is Leslie Avelar and I am the Head Guide at Inspira Child Care. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development at Universidad de las Californias Internacional (UDCI) in Tijuana, Baja California Mexico. Moreover, I am Montessori certified at the North American Montessori Center (NAMC). Overall, I have more than 10 years of experience in the child care environment and 5 years of Montessori education experience.
The dream of building a place where children could flourish began at the moment I recognized the importance of the 0-6 years old stage in children’s lives; a stage in which they are building their self of tomorrow and the foundation of self-esteem, confidence, independence, and socialization. Therefore, I thought I wanted to help by sowing a tiny seed of love in each of the children’s hearts to guide their path towards living a happy childhood and an integral adult life.
Now, my dream begins; the journey towards making children happy.
The Montessori philosophy
Maria Montessori was an Italian physician and educator of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. She was the creator of the Montessori educational model in which emphasis is placed on the activity directed by the child and the observation by the guide.
In this educational model, children have the opportunity to engage in interesting activities freely chosen by themselves. This promotes independence and prolongued periods of concentration in which the guide is the guardian of the children’s learning to avoid interruptions during the activity.
This particualr method allows children to discover their true potential through active learning, in which they arouse their curisoties and follow their interests.
Our Program
Inspira Child Care’s program receives its inspiration from the Montessori method and is provided in a full Spanish immersion environment. Our program focuses on children ages 18-months to 5 years old.
Given the nature of our Montessori inspired environment, we are only able to welcome children that are able to walk. If your child is younger than 18-months old but is able to walk, he/she may qualify to join Inspira Child Care.
Our program options are:
Extended Hours:
7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (Monday-Friday)
Regular Hours:
8:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Monday-Friday)
